Do you feel reasonably comfortable speaking French face-to-face… but panic when the conversation moves to the phone?

You’re not alone. Speaking French on the phone removes many of the cues we rely on in normal conversations - no gestures, no facial expressions and no lipreading.

Don’t Hang Up! is a practical three-part workshop designed to help you handle French phone calls calmly and confidently.

Through guided listening activities, useful expressions and supportive roleplay, you’ll practise real-life situations so that speaking French on the phone starts to feel much more manageable.

What we’ll cover

Over the three sessions we’ll practise:

• starting a phone call naturally

• asking someone to repeat or slow down

• understanding French numbers over the phone

• spelling names and giving details clearly

• leaving and taking messages

• handling common phone situations such as booking appointments or arranging services
