The Phonics Gym
Our live, interactive pronunciation sessions help you turn what you’ve learned into confident spoken French.
Every two weeks, we explore a new pronunciation topic. You’ll receive a bite-sized Phonics Focus video and accompanying PDF to watch beforehand, then join Frannie in The Phonics Gym to put it all into practice.

- Build confidence in a relaxed, supportive group

The Confidence Café
Speaking French can feel nerve-racking, so The Confidence Café offers short, friendly sessions with our Confidence Companion, Judith Keys.
- Practise speaking without pressure
- Build confidence with the basics using our carefully designed language supports.
- Prepare for our larger Pause-café chats
With a Master’s in French and over 13 years living in France, Judith will help you discover that speaking French can be enjoyable!
Le Salon
Le Salon is our advanced conversation group, led by our expert host, Murielle.
Designed for confident intermediate and advanced speakers, these guided sessions will help you:
- Speak more fluently and naturally
- Enrich your vocabulary and expressions
- Use grammar more accurately
- Express yourself with greater confidence
With Murielle’s expert guidance, you’ll take your spoken French from pas mal to formidable!

Many members make new friends and organise regional meet-ups and social events!
So far in 2026, we have enjoyed time together in Marseille and La Rochelle. Our next rendez-vous is in Lyon in October 2026. We’d love for you to join us!

FAQs – Frequently Asked Questions…
Q: What if I can’t attend all the live sessions?
A: No worries! The Phonics Gym sessions are recorded and made available to members. You can catch up at your own pace whenever it suits you. However, conversation groups are not recorded.
Q: Do I have to attend everything that’s available?
A: No! Think of your subscription as a gym membership – you only dip into what is of interest to you and when it suits you. The range of class times is to suit members from different time zones.
Q: What are the days & times of the live classes?
A: Our timetable rotates over two weeks to offer a choice of morning, afternoon and evening sessions.
