We know that speaking up in French can feel nerve-wracking – which is why we’ve added something brand new to the Café: The Confidence Café with our Confidence Compagnon Judith Keys. These are short, friendly, live sessions designed to help you build your speaking confidence step by step.

Judith has a Master’s in French and 13+ years living in France. With Judith by your side, you’ll see that speaking French is not only possible – it can be enjoyable!
Le Salon is our advanced French conversation space inside the Sound More French Café, led by our expert host Murielle.
It’s designed for confident intermediate to advanced speakers who want to fine-tune their spoken French and move from pas mal to formidable. These guided conversation sessions focus on developing fluency, enriching vocabulary, mastering natural expressions, and using grammar accurately in real-life speaking situations.
With Murielle’s expertise and attentive guidance, you’ll deepen your confidence, express yourself more precisely, and sound increasingly natural in French. Each session helps transform solid French skills into truly fluent, confident communication.
Café Cats – in-person meet-ups and social events!
Many members make new friends and organise regional meet-ups and social events!
So far in 2026, we have enjoyed time together in Marseille and La Rochelle. Our next rendez-vous is in Lyon in October 2026. We’d love for you to join us!
Learning à la carte
Inside the Skool classroom, you’ll find an ever-growing library of over 70 bite-sized pronunciation lessons, complete with helpful worksheets and PDFs.
The lessons are organised into a clear five-level pathway, so you’ll always know where to begin and what to work on next. You’ll start with the essential foundations in Café Expresso before progressing step by step through the different Café levels as your pronunciation, listening skills and confidence grow.
You can follow the pathway in order or simply dip in and out whenever you need help with a particular French sound, word or pronunciation problem.

Q:What if I can’t attend all the live sessions?
A: No worries! The Phonics Gym sessions are recorded and made available to members. You can catch up at your own pace whenever it suits you.
Q:Do I have to attend everything that’s available?
A: No! Think of your subcription as a gym membership – you only dip into what is of interest to you and when it suits you. The range of class times is to suit members from different timezones.
Q: I occasionally go on holiday. Will I miss out on content?
A: Absolutely not! The recorded sessions will be accessible during your absence. Plus, you’ll still have access to any additional materials and resources shared with the community.
Q: Do I have to come to live sessions to benefit?
A: Nope! The live classes are just one part of the membership. Everything is recorded, and you’ll have access to a whole library of pronunciation videos, resources, and practice material you can use anytime. Many members use the Café entirely for independent study and still make fantastic progress.
Q: What are the days & times of the live classes and are they recorded?
A: Lesson times rotate on a 2 week basis to suit different time zomes:
Week 1: The Phonics Gym is on Weds at 19.30 UK; La Pause-café is on Thurs at 14:00 UK.
Week 2: The Phonics Gym Repeat is on Thurs at 14.00 UK; La Pause-café takes place on Tues at 07.30 UK.
The Confidence Café runs 2x a month on Tuesdays at 14.00UK.
Le Salon takes place x2 a month on Wednesdays at 14.00 UK
Members have access to a digital calendar in our Skool membership. The Phonics Gym sessions are recorded & stored in our classroom so you can watch on replay.
Q: How do I access the online classroom, and is it user-friendly?
A: Accessing the Café in Skool is quick and easy, whether you’re using a computer, tablet or the Skool app on your phone. Everything is clearly organised in one place, including your lessons, live session links, calendar, resources and community discussions.
You’ll receive simple instructions to help you get started, and should you ever get stuck, just send a message. We’ll be happy to help!

You can follow the pathway step by step or dip into the lessons that are most relevant to you. You’ll also be able to ask questions during our live sessions or post them in the Skool community whenever you need a little extra help.
