We know that speaking up in French can feel nerve-wracking – which is why we’ve added something brand new to the Café: The Confidence Café with our Confidence Compagnon Judith Keys. These are short, friendly, live sessions designed to help you build your speaking confidence step by step.

- Perfect as a gentle stepping stone into our larger Pause-Café chats
- Ideal if you’d like extra practice with the basics or simply want to boost your confidence
Judith has a Master’s in French and 13+ years living in France. With Judith by your side, you’ll see that speaking French is not only possible – it can be enjoyable!

- The price you pay when joining remains the same for entirety of your membership until you cancel it – even as the bank of resources grows and the price goes up for new members.
- You may cancel your membership at anytime.
- This means that for the price of a weekly coffee and cake in your favourite café, you’ll make strides in improving your spoken French and understanding of others.

Q:What if I can’t attend all the live sessions?
A: No worries! All live sessions will be recorded and made available to members. You can catch up at your own pace whenever it suits you.
Q:Do I have to attend everything that’s available?
A: No! Think of your subcription as a gym membership – you only dip into what is of interest to you and when it suits you. The range of class times is to suit members from different timezones.
Q: I occasionally go on holiday. Will I miss out on content?
A: Absolutely not! The recorded sessions will be accessible during your absence. Plus, you’ll still have access to any additional materials and resources shared with the community.
Q: Do I have to come to live sessions to benefit?
A: Nope! The live classes are just one part of the membership. Everything is recorded, and you’ll have access to a whole library of pronunciation videos, resources, and practice material you can use anytime. Many members use the Café entirely for independent study and still make fantastic progress.
Q: What are the days & times of the live classes and are they recorded?
A: Lesson times rotate on a 2 week basis to suit different time zomes:
Week 1: The Phonics Gym is on Weds at 19.30 UK; La Pause-café is on Thurs at 14:00 UK.
Week 2: The Phonics Gym Repeat is on Thurs at 14.00 UK; La Pause-café takes place on Tues at 07.30 UK.
The Confidence Café runs 2x a month on Tuesdays at 14.00UK.
Members are sent the coming month’s schedule at the end of every month. The Phonics Gym sessions are recorded & stored in our lesson bank so you can watch on replay.
Q: How do I access the online classroom, and is it user-friendly?
A: Accessing our online classroom is simple. I’ll provide clear instructions, and our user-friendly platform ensures a seamless learning experience. If you ever encounter issues, just reach out to me – I am ready to assist!
Q: What if I struggle with the lessons or have questions?
A: I’m here to support you every step of the way. The resources bank are set out in 3 levels – from foundation to advanced. Feel free to ask questions during live sessions or use our dedicated forum for ongoing assistance.
Q: How interactive are the live sessions?
A: Our live sessions are highly interactive! You can actively participate, ask questions, and engage with both the teacher and fellow learners. It’s a dynamic and collaborative learning environment. However, if you would rather just listen & watch that is fine too!
