Common Phone Situations We’ll Practise
During the workshops, we’ll practise a range of everyday situations where you might need to speak French on the phone such as…
• Booking a table at a restaurant
• Making a doctor’s appointment
• Calling a plumber or repair service
• Leaving or taking a message
• Booking a hair dresser’s appointment
• Booking your car in at the garage
• Calling emergency services
• Giving your phone number & spelling your name out loud.
Through guided listening exercises, practical phrases and roleplay activities, you’ll practise these situations in a supportive environment so that they start to feel familiar rather than stressful.
The goal is simple: when you next need to make or answer a French phone call, you’ll know what to say and how to stay calm.

Salut, I’m Judith !
Many of you will already know me from the Sound More French Café, where I run The Confidence Café as the membership’s Confidence Companion.
I have a Masters degree in French (Interpreting and Translation), and have lived in France for the past 13 years with my French husband and our bilingual children. Through daily life, family life and work, I developed a deep understanding of how French is used in real-world situations.
I teach group French classes alongside Frannie and support learners inside the Café as they build the confidence to speak more freely.
I bring a calm, encouraging presence to the workshops and will be helping guide the listening activities and roleplays so you can practise real-life scenario phone calls in a supportive setting.
